Trunk Rd (Nelson Rd) Extension South - Phase III

Project Overview
The State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing improvements to the Trunk Road/Nelson Road from the end of the MSB constructed Phase II near the east end of Fetlock Street. The project will lift the road surface, improve pedestrian facilities, remove the old sub-standard bridge, and construct a new bridge across Wasilla Creek to address pedestrian, flooding and safety considerations. Additional improvements may include shoulders, pedestrian amenities, drainage features, and roadside hardware.
Current Status
The design team is beginning work on the plans, specifications, and estimate. The Environmental Document is in progress.
