Seward Highway Closure Update - Seward Highway Re-opened

(Anchorage, Alaska)— The Seward Highway was reopened as of 11:30am today. With this re-opening, the Seward highway is now open in its entirety from Seward to Anchorage. The Whittier Tunnel is also open and operating on its published schedule.

DOT advises that winter driving conditions still prevail along the highway with winds and limited visibility. Additional snow is in the forecast. Drive cautiously at safe speeds for the driving conditions encountered.
